Drain Cleaning
Slow sinks, gurgling tubs and floor drains that back up — cleared with the right cable for the pipe, not a jug of chemicals.
Family-owned · Lakewood, OH · Since 2008
Winterhurst Plumbing is a local plumbing business founded by Jonas Lewis in 2008. From leaky faucets and clogged drains to water heaters, sewer lines and full bathroom or kitchen installs, we fix it right and explain it in plain language.
Something leaking right now? Call us. We answer from 8 in the morning until late in the evening, seven days a week.
Open Mon–Fri 8:00 am – 11:30 pm
Sat–Sun 8:00 am – 10:00 pm
When we give you a time, we keep it. Your evening is not spent waiting for a truck that never comes.
We show you what is wrong and what the options are, without jargon, before any work starts.
No upselling. We fix what needs fixing, tell you what can wait, and do the job right the first time.
These are our six main services. Each page explains the usual causes, what you can safely check yourself and what a visit involves, so you can tell how urgent your problem is before you call.
Slow sinks, gurgling tubs and floor drains that back up — cleared with the right cable for the pipe, not a jug of chemicals.
No hot water, a rumbling tank or a puddle under it: repair when it makes sense, a correctly sized replacement when it does not.
Roots, cracked clay tile and sagging sections in the line between your house and the street, found and fixed.
Thawing frozen lines safely, repairing splits and moving or protecting the pipes that freeze every winter.
Testing, repair and replacement of basement sump pumps, check valves and discharge lines before the spring thaw.
Faucets, toilets, sinks, showers and tubs installed and connected, from a single faucet to a full bathroom or kitchen.
About six in ten Lakewood houses were built before 1940. That means plumbing that has been patched by several owners, materials nobody installs anymore and a basement where every problem eventually shows up. These are the conditions we work in.
Century-old pipes
Cast-iron stacks, galvanized steel supply lines and clay tile sewer laterals, often with newer copper and PVC spliced in.
Freeze-thaw winters
Winter cold snaps freeze pipes in outside walls, crawl spaces and enclosed porches. The thaw then tests every joint.
Basements and floor drains
The lowest drain in the house is where a main-line blockage shows first, so it is one of the first things we ask about.
Doubles and two-family houses
Up-and-down doubles usually share one sewer line, so a backup downstairs can start with a drain upstairs.
Lakewood is home base. We also work in the communities around it, all a short drive away.
Tell us what you see and hear. We ask a few questions and agree on a time.
We arrive when we said we would and find the cause before anything is taken apart.
What failed, why, and your options in plain words, with an honest price before work starts.
The repair is done right the first time and tested before we leave.
We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Working into the evening means a visit after work is often possible, and a problem that starts at dinnertime does not have to wait until tomorrow.
It depends on the day and on how urgent the problem is. When you call, we tell you honestly when we can be there, and then we show up at that time. If water is leaking or a drain is backing up, say so right away and we will talk you through shutting off the water or stopping the flow while you wait.
Yes. Jonas Lewis started in the trade as an apprentice right out of high school, learned the business from the ground up and got licensed before he went out on his own. He has been in plumbing for more than 18 years and runs every job the way he would want it done in his own house.
